“When are we bringing back the death penalty?” This is the question asked by Stéphane, restaurateur. While the main suspect in the young girl’s murder, Taha O., refused his extradition to , this regular listener of the show brings this debate back to the forefront. At the microphone ofWe walk on our headshe continues: “A life taken, a life taken away. It will relieve everyone, and everyone will stop doing stupid things. Let’s put the death penalty back in place once and for all. When you kill a kid and if you bury it, you die.”

A proposal which struggles to convince columnists, including Olivier Dartigolles, but also Gauthier Le Bret, who points out “that an innocent person condemned to death cannot be resurrected”. “Because justice is done by men and there are mistakes that are made by men. If you reinstate the death penalty, you do not have the certainty that one day an innocent person will not be executed .”
