Football – Coupe de France: Canet RFC inherits a Regional 2 club for the 6th round

This Wednesday, October 16, the draw for the 6th round of the Coupe de took place. Canet Roussillon FC, the only Catalan club still in the running, knows its opponent.

The draw for the 6th round of the Coupe de France was made this Wednesday evening at 6 p.m. at the head office of the League in .

Canet Roussillon FC, the only Catalan club still concerned, therefore knows its opponent: it is FC Bagnols Pont, resident of Regional 2 (3rd in its group after three matches). The club beat US Conques in the previous round (4-0). For its part, CRFC defeated Bruguières SC (D3) last Sunday with a score of 2 to 0.

The matches of this 6th round will be played next weekend, October 26 and 27. And it will therefore be a new trip for the Canétois, to the Léo-Lagrange stadium in Bagnols-sur-Cèze.

As a reminder, in the previous round, four other clubs from the Pyrénées-Orientales were involved but did not manage to advance. If for FC Claira/St-Laurent (against , 1-2), Racing Méditerranée (against Le Grau-du-Roi, 1-3) and FC Saint-Estève (against , 0-1), it was necessary to achieve the feat, the elimination of FC Albères-Argelès was a little more surprising. Benoît Pansier’s men (N3) were knocked out by FC Comtal, an R2 team (2-1).
