Episode 1

When a man is found dead, behind the wheel of his burned-out car and arrested in the middle of the Provençal countryside, the young gendarmerie captain Mathilde Delboscq understands that it is a homicide: the man has been drugged and executed. The victim, Pascal Dubreuil, is a local entrepreneur, father of two children, who leads a seemingly uneventful life with his wife Isabelle, who runs a flower shop. It is a terrible shock, a catastrophe, for this woman in her forties who had a passionate, even close, relationship with her husband for twelve years. But, little by little, the portrait of this perfectly blended family is cracking: Pascal Dubreuil had personally gone into debt to cover the debts of his business, he was in conflict with his 23-year-old son, Jérémie and was maintaining an extra-marital affair. with his assistant. But suspicions change in nature when investigators discover that Isabelle Dubreuil’s first husband and the father of her son, Antoine, almost died, accidentally poisoned sixteen years earlier by the same neuroleptic as that found today in the blood of the victim.

Episode 2

While Mathilde strives to clarify Isabelle’s troubled past, as well as her complex relationship with the father of her son, new clues point in the direction of Jérémie, with whom Pascal had a difficult relationship linked to an argument over the inheritance from his mother. The son, particularly hostile to Isabelle, blamed his father for his gambling addiction. While Isabelle, while expressing her affection for Jérémie and his sister Louise, discreetly entertains the hypothesis of parricide, Mathilde discovers that Pascal Dubreuil testified in favor of Isabelle, before their marriage, giving her an alibi for the death of her previous husband who died in the fire of his house. Although having received a dismissal of the case, Isabelle now finds herself at the heart of the suspicions of the young gendarme, convinced that she killed the man who previously exonerated her. When Mathilde finds the former police officer who tried to confuse her, he accuses Isabelle of being a monster, a real serial killer, cold and unscrupulous.
