Türkiye: 5.9 magnitude earthquake in Malatya
According to information published on the Disaster and Emergency Management Directorate (AFAD) website, the earthquake was recorded at a depth of 10.07 kilometers.
Malatya Mayor Sami Er told the AA correspondent that no bad news has reached them so far.
In a statement posted on social media, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said:
“Following the earthquake with a magnitude of 5.9 in the Kale district of Malatya, AFAD and all the teams of our relevant institutions began to carry out analyzes on the ground”
.
The minister said he was closely following developments regarding this earthquake, which was also felt in neighboring provinces.
