It was a firefighter exercise.
“This is an exercise led by Lieutenant Quentin Galle to test our workforce and work in inter-centers “, reassures Commander Stéphane Cadinot, who adds: “We do an exercise approximately every two weeks in different areas of expertise. » The same test had already taken place on Tuesday October 8, 2024 with other agents.
A dozen firefighters of the Long-Term Exploration Group and the fire service intervened in the car park located under the town hall, in collaboration with the security service of the City of Le Havre.
The exercise that simulated a fire in underground equipmentwent well. “Our agents found the potential fictitious victims,” indicates Commander Cadinot. Regarding the smoke, it is obviously non-toxic. “It’s like nightclub smoke. »
