Paul Mourier was appointed new prefect of Côte-d’Or and the Burgundy-Franche-Comté region. He is scheduled to take up his position in Dijon in the coming days, although no precise date has yet been communicated at this time.
Paul Mourier succeeds Franck Robinewho joined the Ministry of the Interior as chief of staff to the new minister, Bruno Retailleau.
A man close to Michel Barnier
Aged 65, Paul Mourier owns a career as a senior civil servant rich in administrative responsibilities. He has had a career within various local and national institutions. Close to Michel Barnier, he worked with the current Prime Minister to the General Council of Savoie, contributing in particular to the preparation of Albertville Olympic Games of 1992.
Paul Mourier has already occupied the function of prefect in several departments, notably in Lozère, Cantal and Var before obtaining the rank of “hors-class” prefect in 2012, a status reserved for experienced executives. More recently, he was also in charge of managing customer services. Metropolis of Greater Paris.
