This Monday morning, a major accident paralyzed traffic on the N3, between Frisange and Alzingen (municipality of Hesperange). Traffic on this route used, in particular, by French cross-border workers, is completely at a standstill.
It was a collision between a car and a motorcycle. There are no further indications at the moment, but the sector should therefore be avoided. According to the ACL, the road will remain closed all morning. The police positioned themselves at the Um Schlammestee intersection to block access. You must turn in the direction of Weiler-la-Tour or Roeser.
Vehicles stuck in traffic jams, including many buses, must turn around to take another route. But the maneuver is delicate.
Some users decided to continue their journey on foot. The police prohibit them from entering the direction of Hesperange; they must walk towards Frisange.
The Air Rescue helicopter intervenes late Sunday afternoon
In its bulletin published early Monday morning, the CGDIS communicated about another accident, which occurred late Sunday in the north of the country. A car ended up in the ditch on the N17 between Fouhren and Tandel.
Two people were injured in this road accident. The Samu intervened with the Air Rescue helicopter. Firefighters from the Nordstad and Larochette rescue centers were also on site.
