A way to see all the colors: There is no shortage of work in the south of Aisne and particularly in the city on the banks of the . The traffic lights located at the Saint-Martin village crossroads in Château-Thierry have been operational again since Wednesday September 25. After a fault search carried out by the management, an in-depth diagnosis by the company Fareco confirmed that the fires were irreparable. The total replacement of the system amounts to €10,000 including tax.

Big breakdown

Despite rapid support, the commissioning was considerably slowed down for several reasons: the scale of the breakdown, the lead times for supplying new elements and new standards making the sequencing that had prevailed until now obsolete.

Mohamed Rezzouki, deputy mayor responsible for town planning and works, explains: “The breakdown led us to completely modernize the signaling system, by renovating not only the traffic lights but also the associated electronic card. From now on, residents and road users can benefit from a more reliable and efficient traffic light system. “.

Better security

Chantal Bonneau, deputy mayor responsible for security, adds: “Although restrictive for local residents, these adjustments linked to programming were essential. Thanks to them, the signaling system now guarantees the safety of users while complying with current standards. »

These new traffic lights, which are also aimed at pedestrians, therefore provide traffic regulation and appreciated safety in this part of the city and as winter approaches.
