He is a little more than a chosen one for the Bleuse family that he has known for many years. So when the family decides to organize a surprise for Marie-Hélène and Laurent, he is there, of course. The only objective is to celebrate their golden wedding anniversary with dignity.
A surprise for the couple
It is 11 a.m. this Saturday, October 12, when the Bleuse pass through the door of Ribemont town hall. Surprised and moved, they discovered around fifty members of their family, all gathered for them. “ We hadn’t planned much, we were just thinking of going to a restaurant… When I saw that we were going to the town hall, I understood! » says Marie-Hélène, amused and touched. With a smile on her lips, she remembers the day their story began, during a celebration of the Sacred Heart. “ We were children ”, she remembers with fondness.
Half a century of love
A few years later, at 17, Marie-Hélène walked through the doors of the town hall on the arm of Laurent, then 22 years old. Today, she is 67 and he is 72, and from their love were born 5 children and 10 grandchildren.
This golden wedding celebration is much more than just a wedding anniversary. It is a tribute to commitment, complicity and love that lasts. “ Not everyone makes it to 50 », jokes Laurent.
After the emotion of the town hall, everyone headed in a procession a few kilometers away to continue the day with even more joy and laughter. Half a century of love and still standing, it’s worth celebrating as it should!
