Interrupted since 5 p.m. this Friday, October 11, traffic at Part-Dieu station resumed an hour later but almost all trains are affected by delays.
New rail disruptions in the Lyon region. Traffic was interrupted in both directions at Part-Dieu station this Friday, October 11 due to the intervention of a mine clearance team which was dispatched to the site shortly after 5 p.m. following the report of a package suspicious.
People were also present on the tracks, according to SNCF. Traffic was able to resume around 6 p.m.
Up to an hour late
“The intervention of the deminers is completed, Hall 1 will reopen and the gradual resumption of traffic at Lyon Part-Dieu is underway,” indicated the SNCF in a message posted on X.
Traffic nevertheless remains affected with numerous delays, of between 10 and 60 minutes, on trains scheduled for the early evening.
Other procedures for suspicious packages “are causing delays in the region,” added the SNCF, without saying more about the stations concerned.
