At the same time, Météo-France placed 17 other departments on yellow alert for rain-flooding this Thursday.

“In the departments on orange alert, the accumulations over the whole day are confirmed, of the order of 50 to 70 mm up to 60 to 80 mm, or even very locally 90 mm,” Météo-France specified in his report card.
The meteorological institute added: “These are quantities that usually fall within a month. This precipitation is not stormy but will occur in a context of already very wet soils and could therefore cause widespread flooding.
