SENEGAL-CULTURE-EVENT / Saint-Louis: open day at the Le Château cultural center – Senegalese press agency

Saint-Louis, October 8 (APS) – The cultural center Le Château de Saint-Louis (north) opens its doors to the public, from Saturday October 12, with various activities on the menu including a dance workshop but also a restitution of residence, we learned from the organizers.

”The Le Château cultural center opens its doors to the entire public on Saturday October 12! From 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., come and discover or enjoy the places: at 4 p.m. creative artisan stands, presentation, membership and registration for introductory workshops on artistic and cultural practices, dance workshop”, can we read on a note sent to the APS.

The program for this day, indicates the same source, includes, among other things, a projection of photos of the activities, visits to the Château but also from 5 p.m. a children’s parade with the original collections of Ndack creation.

Still in the program for this day, a restitution of residence is planned at 6 p.m. but also a dance show, the circle ritual with Street Dikenga, among other activities.

The Château aims to be a dynamic cultural center anchored in the city, a space for research, training and multidisciplinary residency for Saint-Louis artists but also for Senegalese and international artists, according to a presentation note for the said center.
