A moment of horror. Two police officers were seriously injured in Paris this Thursday, May 9, reports Le Figaro. The events took place in their police station in the 13th arrondissement of Paris. An individual, who had been arrested earlier in the evening, grabbed the weapon of one of the officers and opened fire. The two affected agents were then transported in absolute emergency to the Georges-Pompidou hospital, in the 15th arrondissement of the capital.
According to the newspaper’s information, the attacker is an Asian man, born in 1992, unknown to the police. He had been arrested for the attack of a 73-year-old woman with a box cutter. The police observed on site “a pool of blood” and had to use a taser to neutralize the individual. In the police station, he waited until his hands were free, during a breathalyzer test, to grab a weapon attached to an officer’s waist. The policeman managed to recover his weapon to shoot the suspect in turn.

The vital prognosis of one of the police officers still engaged
While the attacker’s vital prognosis is not in jeopardy, the two police officers, aged 33, are still hospitalized. The first, injured in the groin and abdomen, was operated on successfully and was able to see his family. The second, who was also operated on, is still between life and death. They have not yet been heard, indicated the Paris prosecutor’s office.
