The accident which occurred on Tuesday October 8 around 9:15 a.m. on the Saint-Nazaire – Laval axis cost the life of a driver. The victim is a 31-year-old woman.
She died in a head-on collision with another vehicle on national road 171, near the town of Blain (Loire-Atlantique), towards Bouvron. According to firefighters, a 41-year-old woman was also slightly injured and transported to the Nantes hospital center.
The precise circumstances of the accident remain to be determined. The investigation, entrusted to the community of Blain brigades, should allow this.
The road reopened to traffic late in the morning
Traffic on the main road, cut off during the emergency response, was restored at the end of the morning. Major means of intervention were mobilized for this accident since a helicopter, four emergency vehicles (roads and firefighters), fourteen firefighters, the gendarmerie and the interregional directorate of western roads were on site.
