Not only was their daughter and sister assaulted and kidnapped, but her boyfriend, a high school student, was also the subject of an ambush aimed at kidnapping him in retaliation.

Recall of facts
The case began when the older brother discovered photos and videos in his sister’s phone suggesting a relationship with the other victim, a high school student of the same age, says the prosecutor. The man then organizes an ambush against this boy via a mutual friend.
Forced into a Clio with five other people, the high school student says he was beaten to the point of losing consciousness, then assaulted again by several people in an apartment. Found Sunday evening wandering on the public highway, “with a swollen face”, with “a broken nose” and “a knife wound”, he was given an eight-day ITT (total incapacity for work).
A break at the heart of the matter
He explains to investigators that he received a message from a friend asking him to meet him near his building. He specifies that he recognized his girlfriend’s brother and mother during the events, with whom he had just broken up “without difficulty”.
The family kidnaps the daughter
“We immediately realized that the young girl in question had been declared by her family on the school website as having gone on vacation to Chad, where they are from,” for three weeks, he said. continued Mr. Schneider.
But the latter actually fled. She presented herself during the night from Tuesday to Wednesday at the Antony police station (Hauts-de-Seine), saying she had been “violated by her brothers and her mother” and “sequestered in the family apartment”.
The teenager threatened and abused
According to his account, the discovery of his relationship provoked the “fury” of his brother and his mother, says Mr. Schneider.
The latter allegedly spat on her, insulted her and threatened her with a knife, which she denies. She admits to having cut his hair. She also allegedly threatened to send her back to Chad. The brother, wearing an electronic bracelet due to violence, recognizes, like his mother, the beatings against his sister.
Indictments
This Friday, May 10, during a press conference, the Reims prosecutor François Schneider announced the referral and indictment of the mother and brother of the 16-year-old girl, adding that a “warrant of committal was requested against the two accused”.
They are notably suspected of “kidnapping and sequestration without voluntary release” as well as “aggravated violence”.
