Ligue 1 (33rd day). Stade Brestois – Reims, this Friday (9 p.m.)

In one year, you go from Reims, where you did not play much, to Brest where you become the club’s most used player (missing nine minutes over the entire season). Did you expect such progress?

No not at all. I continue to work on my own and the coach makes his choices. He often makes me a starter, it’s up to me to show what I’m worth. I think I did it very well.

You are even the outfield player with the most playing time this season in Ligue 1, what does that inspire you?

In Reims, I had difficult times since I wasn’t playing. Stade Brestois trusts me and I keep playing matches. It’s the end of the season, and I’m very happy to have been able to play all these matches. I feel very good.

You will not be able to play against Toulouse for the last match, Reims is your last meeting of the season. Is that sort of irony?

Yes (smile). I’m going to see my old teammates again. It is a pleasure. Even if it’s Reims, we need three points to hope for the Champions League. So Reims or not Reims, we will be there to win.

Is it still frustrating not to play the last match?

Yes, what’s more, it’s a pretty stupid mistake (against Nantes, he arrived late for Coco, he received a yellow card, his third in less than ten matches). But hey, I know my team will do the job, I’m not too worried.

How are you experiencing this end-of-season excitement with the Champions League?

With the players, we experience it quite well. This is the club’s best season. We are aware that there are two games left and that we have to go for the Champions League. It’s up to us to stay focused. We aim as high as possible. We remain competitors.

Do you feel it on a daily basis?

Yes. It’s not like in Reims where I was invisible. There I go out, I hear “Bradley Locko”. It’s probably because I play a lot of matches. The supporters are present. It doesn’t bother me, on the contrary, it makes me happy.

In recent days, many supporters have been present at training. Does this push you even more?

It’s nice, plus there was sunshine. Often, it’s complicated on that level (laughing). We do this for them too. To give them a show, a little joy. I think they are happy with what we do and we thank them in our own way.

What is your relationship with the city of Brest?

I don’t go out much. Just in town to shop or have a drink. The city is friendly, it’s quiet.

Could qualifying with Stade Brestois in the Champions League make you stay?

Whether in the Champions League or playing for the remainder, I would have stayed. It didn’t change my view of things.

Are you aware that a left back with your qualities is good market value for the club?

I think they (the leaders of Stade Brestois) don’t want me to end my career here. In a year or two, they will probably sell me, as we always said. For now, I’m at Stade Brestois, I’m focusing on the end of the season and what I’m doing on the pitch. I don’t necessarily project myself. I told my agent that we will see all that at the end of the season if there are any touches.

Ultimately, can you aspire to play in a club programmed to play the Champions League every year?

Yes, I can play almost everywhere. I am able to adapt, whether in the Champions League, in the Europa League or to play for maintenance.

Do you have a dream club?

Since I was little, it’s been AC Milan…
