The unfolding of the facts
A man was arrested around 10 p.m. this Thursday, in a “building” of the 13th arrondissement of Paris for “a very violent attack on a woman with a cutter”, says Laurent Nunez.
According to the Paris police prefect, cited by France Infothe police had to “break down the door” before “tasing” the suspect several times before managing to control him.
Once at the police station, “when he blew into the breathalyzer“, the man managed to steal a civil servant’s weapon and shot two police officers.
What is the state of health of the police officers?
They were both seriously injured. The vital prognosis of one of the victims is still engaged. “Neutralized“, the attacker is also hospitalized in serious condition but his life prognosis is not in jeopardy.
Three open investigations
Asked by AFP, the Paris prosecutor’s office clarified that three investigations had been opened. Two are entrusted to the 3rd DPJ, one for “attempted murder of the woman“, the other for “attempted murder of persons holding public authority”.

The Unsa police union said the affected station was “shocked”. “The job of police officer is not trivial, it is at the risk of their lives that police officers intervene daily.”
