Recently, “red” tourism (linked to the history of the Chinese Communist Party) has gained popularity in Yan’an, northwest China’s Shaanxi Province. Visitors from all over the country go there to visit the Pagoda Mountain, the ancient revolutionary site of Yangjialing, or the Yan’an Revolution Memorial, among others, to learn the history of the revolution and feel the spirit of Yan’an.
