What happened ?
A man was arrested around 10 p.m. in a building at 13e district for “a very violent attack on a woman” with the “cutter” explained the Paris police prefect, Laurent Nuñez, who was accompanied by the Paris prosecutor, Laure Beccuau. The police intervened and brought the individual back to the police station.

What do we know about the state of health of police officers?
The injured officials were immediately taken to hospital. The vital prognosis of one of the two is in jeopardy, according to a Source close to the case. According to The Parisianthe agents, injured in the abdomen for one and in the hip for the other, were transported to the Pitié Salpêtrière and to the Hôtel-Dieu.

How will the investigation take place?
Three investigations were opened, detailed the prosecution. Two are entrusted to the judicial police, one for “attempted murder of the woman”, the other for “attempted murder of persons holding public authority”. “The investigations must in particular specify the circumstances of the facts, the identity of the accused, as well as his possible links with the female victim,” underlined the prosecution.
The third investigation was entrusted to the IGPN (the “police of police”) for “intentional violence with a weapon by a person holding public authority”, as is always the case when a police officer uses his weapon . In particular, it will have to show how the suspect was able to seize a civil servant’s weapon.
