The Major Crimes Investigation Division of the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) is asking for the public’s help in finding witnesses to a hit-and-run incident that occurred in Laval on May 9, in the morning.

It was around 5:15 a.m. that emergency services went to Highway 15, northbound, near the Gédéon-Ouimet bridge, regarding a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian.

According to initial information, a vehicle stopped in the right lane due to a puncture.

As the driver got out of his vehicle to carry out the repair, a pickup truck hit him.

The victim was pronounced dead on site. The driver of the van did not remain at the scene and fled.

He was driving a vehicle that was identified as a white Ford F-150 pickup truck..

SQ investigators are seeking to meet anyone who may have witnessed the event or who may have information about the suspect vehicle.
