After traveling through Marseille the day before, the Olympic flame will set off from Saint-Raphaël before arriving in Toulon this Friday.

Amid the popular jubilation of Marseille, the Olympic flame sailed this Thursday, in the hands of anonymous people but also celebrities. Among them, Basile Boli, Soprano, Didier Drogba, Jean-Pierre Papin, Tony Parker and even Jean Galfione, had the honor of wearing it. No Zinedine Zidane then, but some good people, with a fanfare arrival at the Vélodrome stadium.

This Friday, the second stage will begin at the CREPS (regional center for physical education and sports) in Saint-Raphaël in the Var around 8:10 a.m. It then crossed the town of Hyères-les-Palmiers then Brignoles, Flassans-sur-Issole and La Seyne-sur-Mer. The Olympic flame will travel towards Salles-sur-Verdon and stop in Toulon, on the Place de la Liberté around 7:30 p.m.

Who to carry the flame in the Var?

The sports journalist Carine Galli, the actor, screenwriter but also director Charles Berling, the president of the Toulon rugby club Bernard Lemaître and Marielle Goitschel, double Olympic ski champion at the Winter Olympics of 1964 in Innsbruck and 1968 in Grenoble , will be the bearers of the Olympic flame in the Var, among many anonymous people.
