For several weeks, world number 1 Novak Djokovic has no longer worked with Goran Ivanisevic, from whom he parted ways on good terms, declaring that he had simply reached saturation point.

The Serbian is now working with his compatriot Nenad Zimonjic, former world No. 1 in doubles, and has benefited from the return of his former physical trainer Gebhard Phil‐Gritcsh.

At a press conference in Rome, Djokovic reassured everyone that the automatisms had very quickly been found, and that his training program was going wonderfully.

“It didn’t take much time to adapt to his program and his approach. We know each other very well. That’s why I feel like we’ve been in sync from the beginning in terms of what we want to do, how we want to approach the training program on and off the field. So yeah, I’m happy with how the last 10, 14 days have gone in terms of training and preparation. »
