Dramatic traffic accident that occurred Wednesday, at the end of the day, in Chessy. The scene took place near the bus station located at the end of Avenue Paul Séramy, which leads to the Disneyland Paris amusement park. It was around 7 p.m. when a Transdev company bus, traveling at low speed, hit a 7-year-old child and rolled partly over his body.

The victim, seriously injured, was airlifted to the Necker-Enfants Malades hospital in Paris. And this, thanks to the heliport which is nearby. The child reportedly suffered a pelvic fracture. His vital prognosis was in jeopardy. As for the bus driver, his alcohol and drug tests came back negative. Reason why he was not immediately placed in custody at the Lagny-Chessy urban police station, which was responsible for the investigation.

Investigators will use video surveillance images

The police will have to understand why the boy, who was in the company of his mother and stepfather, Spanish tourists, was on the road at the time of the impact. It would appear – according to the very first elements of the investigation – that the boy was crossing in a blind spot of the vehicle. The investigators will use the various video surveillance images of the site and the vehicle, which will be assessed, then interview witnesses to the accident.

Monday morning, it was in Pomponne – rue du Général-Leclerc – that a 25-year-old woman was hit by a Renault. There too the victim was seriously injured. As for the driver of the car – positive for drugs and without a valid driving license in France – he was placed in police custody.
