A new citizens’ day planned for May 25 in La Garnache

For the 8e year, the municipality of La Garnache organizes a citizens’ day, Saturday May 25. It is open to all Garnachois who want to take part in the beautification of their town.

The choice of work to be carried out and the organization of the day result from collaboration between residents: citizens, elected officials and municipal services. This initiative promotes exchange between residents, all generations combined, and creates a unifying link, placing the citizen as a true actor in their city.

This year, we invite the people of Garnacho to come with proposals for collective projects, repairs, beautification or improvements for their own residential areas. We will also invite all young people, from the Forum or the Earn your pocket money system, to participate,” indicates the mayor, François Petit.

Show up quickly

Interested people can communicate with elected officials either by email or by telephone to request the action to be developed for their neighborhood. This could be the installation of a bus shelter or a trash can platform, an area to clean, the maintenance of a well or a calvary, or anything that improves the living conditions of a district. For the projects to be accepted, you must come forward fairly quickly so that everything is implemented so that the actions can be carried out on May 25.

Saturday May 25, from 8:45 a.m., town hall council room for a brioche coffee and distribution of tasks. Collective work from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., lunch offered by the municipality from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., return to work from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Come with your own gloves and yellow vest. Information from the town hall: tel. 02 51 93 11 08; [email protected] or via the city’s Facebook page.
