The Olympic flame begins its journey through the Marseille city at 8:20 a.m. on Thursday and will end its journey at the Vélodrome stadium at 7:20 p.m.

The city will go up in flames again. The Olympic flame will begin its long journey from Marseille on Thursday May 9 from 8:20 a.m. at Notre-Dame de la Garde with Basile Boli as the first bearer.   • Eight sections crossed by the flame

The Olympic flame crosses Marseille from north to south, east to west. Departure at 8:20 a.m. from Notre-Dame de la Garde to arrive at 7:30 p.m. at the Vélodrome stadium. Estrangin, Borély, the Pharo, the letters “Marseille”, the Cité Internationale, the Parc de Font Obscure, the Dôme, the Palais Longchamp, the Parc de la Moline, the flame will travel to emblematic places.   • 230,000 people gathered on Wednesday
