According to initial findings, the motorcyclist residing in Sainte-Eanne was driving in the direction of La Mothe-Saint-Héray. For an undetermined reason, a car leaving the industrial zone did not obey the stop sign. The impact was violent. The motorcyclist, aged 22, was seriously injured in his lower limbs and transported by medical vehicle to the Niort hospital center. The driver of the vehicle fled.
