Hopes were high after Kyle Schwarber hit a lead off home run three pitches into the game, but basically nothing happened after that. It all came crashing down hard very quick. Kyle and I were on the scene post-game, and fans were devastated. Pretty sure the cheapest tickets were around $300, quite the bag to spend to watch your team get embarrassed:

As sad as I was, some fans get upset way too quickly. “Fire Rob Thomson”??? After one bad game? Pretty sure they didn’t throw Philly Rob out there to pitch in the 8th. I can’t tell if fans are serious sometimes or if they’re just trying to be funny for the camera. One guy was crying so bad we didn’t even include the clip in our video, it was that messy.

Talking to any Mets fan was brutal too, it sucks having no chirps up your sleeve. None of them were being obnoxious, which might make it hurt worse. I’d rather them rub it in our faces, but then again they were probably scared to. You’d hear tons of boo’s and chirps coming our way when the mic was in their face.

Good news is I think this Phillies team comes back today and gets the W. If we just erased the 8th inning yesterday we’re up 1-0. Alec Bohm you’re out. Edmundo Sosa you’re in. Bring the energy. Lets go Phils!
