A strong man at the end of the season, in an interview with the official website, MHSC central defender Modibo Sagnan was asked about his easy adaptation to the pailladin ranks:
“However, I always had difficulty with adaptation. It was a bit my fault. But here, I see that with my different past experiences, I have gained maturity when I arrive at a club. Here, I immediately felt at home. I had been told about it but I really immediately felt the family aspect of the club. As for the city, it is very pleasant. It’s nice to see the sun again. Even if I had known it in the Basque Country, it rained a lot more there. »
The Malian international also returned to his transfer this winter to Hérault:
“When I knew that Montpellier was interested in my coming, I did not hesitate. Even abroad, I always followed the French championship a lot and, when I saw the MHSC squad and what its players were capable of doing, I said to myself that it was a good opportunity for me. It was also really important to me to show my qualities in France, the country where I was born, and of course to help the club stay in Ligue 1. For all these reasons, Montpellier was really the right project. »
