International Press Freedom Day, celebrated at the Faculty of Sciences of Ain Chok in Casablanca – Le7tv.ma

This Tuesday, May 7, 2024, on the occasion of International Press Freedom Day, Club Masterpiece organized a major event at the Ain Chok Faculty of Sciences in Casablanca. Under the theme “Chronicle of Change: Journalism and Youth”, this conference brought together a panel of experts in the field to discuss current issues in journalism and the role of youth in this vital sector for democracy.

Hosted by Ahmed Talal, Director of the Higher Institute of Journalism and Communication (ISJC) and founder of the media Le7tv, and Laila Benlarbi, journalist at the Ecomédia media group, this conference was a real forum to address the challenges and opportunities facing young journalists face today.

The notable presence of the Dean of the Ain Chok Faculty of Sciences of Casablanca, Abdelaziz Soukri, and Abdelhakim Chafiai, in charge of student life at the Faculty of Sciences, underlined the importance of this event for the university community. The active participation of students during the debate and question-and-answer sessions also illustrated the commitment of Moroccan youth to the issues of press freedom and responsible journalism.

This conference highlighted the crucial role that young journalists play in building an informed and democratic society. By promoting dialogue and the exchange of ideas, she encouraged students to become actively involved in the field of journalism and to defend the fundamental values ​​of freedom of expression and media pluralism.

Through this event, Club Masterpiece and its partners affirmed their commitment to press freedom and the promotion of ethical and responsible journalism in Morocco. By giving a voice to youth and encouraging their involvement in public debate, this conference demonstrated that the future of journalism in Morocco is in good hands.
