Three weeks after the accident which cost the life of a fairground worker Easter FairSunday April 14, 2024 at Caen (Calvados)the ride on which the tragedy took place was always immobilized, Tuesday May 7, in the middle of the exhibition center. A 63-year-old man, the “de facto” manager of the ride, died after falling from a height of around 10 meters, struck by a basket. He was carrying out an intervention while the Speed ​​Mouse was running.

The owner and driver of the ride were indicted for “manslaughter by breach of safety obligations”, after the police discovered that elements of the structure had been “withheld from investigation”. The two men, both aged around fifty, were left free, under judicial supervision, but the prosecution did appeal of this decision.
