A week ago, on Wednesday May 1st, in the early morning, Martin was fatally mowed down by a motoristboulevard Toesca in Toulon, while he was returning from a discotheque with a group of friends.
A tragic destiny for this adopted Toulonnais, originally from Nord-Pas-de-Calais, aged only 24 years old.
“Someone deeply kind”
“A big teddy bear, someone deeply kind, who could help anyoneeven if he didn’t know”as Pauline, her older sister, testified in our columns.
Two other people were injured during this tragedy. The driver, with whom the group had an altercation at the end of the evening, fled.
The latter, arrested and then placed in detention at La Farlède prison, was indicted for murder and attempted murder.
“We are lucky to be well surrounded”
Those close to Martin must now think “afterwards”, to use Pauline’s words. A prize pool has been put online.

An olive tree planted in the courtyard of his company by his colleagues
In the courtyard of the company where Martin worked as an operating technician, between La Seyne and Six-Fours, an olive tree was planted by his colleagues. “We didn’t think we’d have so much support. It makes us feel good, because we see that he was really appreciated.” thanks Pauline.
The funeral is expected to take place in the north of France. Those close to him are also considering a tribute to Toulon.
