During the night of Tuesday May 7 to Wednesday May 8, around 2 a.m., firefighters intervened to a flood in the Marguerite nursing homeIn Toulouse.

Nearly a hundred people impacted

When emergency services arrived on site, they noticed that a water leak in a boiler room of 15 m² resulted a power outage on a complete building. In total, 94 people were impacted by the outage in two separate buildings.

“78 people in the impacted building, including two on respiratory assistance who were moved to the non-impacted building and 16 people in the non-impacted building,” specify the firefighters.

A malfunction in the nursing home

The entire installation was checked by the Enedis technician on site. The origin of the breakdown was linked to a malfunction on the general low voltage switchboard (TGBT).

The installation and restart were carried out by Enedis. The site director is now responsible for bringing in a company to carry out a general check.
