From morning to evening, France Télévisions will be at the heart of the historic arrival of the Olympic Flame in Marseille.

After the commemorations of the 79th anniversary of the victory of May 8, 1945, France Télévisions, official broadcaster of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, will offer an exceptional program throughout the day.

Live from the Old Port, the France Télévisions teams will bring you these unique moments with guests, reports and analysis, from Marseille to Paris. A special day followed by a great evening combining music and sport to celebrate this event, the kick-off of the Paris 2024 Games.

This May 8, France Télévisions is also launching the digital channel “france.tv PARIS 2024”, which will offer innovative and complete live coverage of the journey of the Flame every day.

On the program for this historic and Olympic day:

From 6.30, Télématin, live and in public from the Old Port, presented by Thomas Sotto and Marie Portolano, surrounded by columnists and numerous guests.

At 9.25, Special edition for the commemorations of May 8, 1945 and the arrival of the Belem off the coast of Marseille, presented by Julian Bugier, with the participation of Nathalie Saint-Cricq, Stéphane Bern, Cécile Grès, journalist in the editorial office of sports, with special correspondents live from Marseille, Belem, and from Paris and Colombey-les-Deux-Églises.

Special edition of the 1 p.m. Journal, live from Marseille, presented by Julian Bugier, with numerous guests and reports.

At 4 p.m., Special Edition – Arrival of the Olympic Flame presented by Julian Bugier from the France Télévisions set in the Old Port, with the participation of Louise Ekland and special correspondents at sea, on the Belem, in the heart of the Phocaean city but also throughout France to experience this event. They will be accompanied by the ambassadors of the Flame, as well as Tony Estanguet, Robert Pirès, Marie-José Pérec, Théo Curin, Camille Lacourt, and many other guests.

The 8 p.m. News will be presented by Anne-Sophie Lapix, live from the Old Port of Marseille with numerous guests and reports.

From 8:45 p.m., Marseille welcomes the Olympic Flame, the big evening. To celebrate the arrival of the Olympic Flame, France Télévisions invites you for an exceptional evening. This great show will bring together music and sport: Laury Thilleman will make you experience the event in music with Soprano and Alonzo who will give a concert in the Old Port. Laurent Luyat will also welcome athletes and artists from all walks of life to the stage, and Mohamed Bouhafsi will be at the heart of the public to bring you the atmosphere of this historic day. At the end of the show, the Marseille sky will light up in the colors of a masterful fireworks display.

To talk about this exceptional day, Julian Bugier, presenter of France2’s 1 p.m. show, is the guest of France Bleu Provence, this Wednesday, at 8:50 a.m.
