The Thursday afternoon meeting has now become an unmissable event for the walkers of the association from Yesterday to Today. In fact, every week as soon as the weather conditions are favorable, a small group meets at the entrance to the Iloë alley to walk the paths and trails of the region. “You can walk to Roquecourbe or nearby but also from Réalmont to Puylaurens and from Revel to Brassac” explains president Joel Julian. After a carpool trip between Roquecourbe and the hiking location, everyone gears up for the outing and a little exercise. But no spirit of competition or performance. Records for kilometers traveled are not current. It’s more about relaxed walks, with the discovery of nature or heritage. The history of the region and life in times gone by are often the reason for exploring outings, but when the season permits, some picking is also current. All in a good mood with the pleasure of meeting up to explore the circuits offered between five and ten kilometers in the afternoon following the season. The end of the walk is just as pleasant, with small snacks where everyone shares a few cakes or other treats, which everyone enjoys when the outings arrive. If you like walking, know that you can join the group on Thursday afternoon of each week, before departure at 1:30 p.m., at the entrance to the Allée de Siloë. Another outing, over a short distance, for people with walking difficulties is also organized on Tuesday with departure at 2 p.m. from the same starting point.
