Funfair, fantastic festival, exhibition… What to do in Toulouse this (long) weekend?

You didn’t plan to set sail for this long Ascension weekend ? You are right: there are many opportunities for outings available to you in Toulouse and the surrounding area. And the good news is that the good weather will be there. Here is our selection, from May 8 to 12, 2024.

#1. Fantastic festival in Bascala

The Echos & Merveilles festival is held at Bascala, in Bruguières (Haute-Garonne) from May 8 to 12, 2024.

A festival on the cultures of the imagination, fantastic worlds and the medieval world, with concerts, a magical market, quidditch tournamentstreasure hunts…

#2. Kids festival in Layup

Layup is the urban art exhibition that has been set up for a few days in the former Orange premises near the Saint-Michel metro station. With monumental frescoes, photos, films… 300 works in total.

For Ascension, the Mother in Town teams are taking over the premises for the Kids 2024 festival. A festival dedicated to the youngest from May 9 to 12. Around thirty exhibitors will be present and many activities will be offered: cake design; up-cycling workshop; macrame workshop; screen printing workshop, etc. A good time for the whole family!

#3. Jazz in Comminges

The 21st edition of the Jazz en Comminges festival is held from May 8 to 12, in Saint-Gaudens (Haute-Garonne). For four days, concerts, films and exhibitions will make Comminges vibrate to the rhythms of jazz music.

With notably Kyle Eastwood, Roberto Fonseca or even Dhafer Youssef.

#4. Toulouse businesses celebrating

From May 9 to 11, many events are planned in the city center, as part of “Toulouse shops celebrating”. On the program: concerts, strolls and guided tours. An event that will bring the city center to life for three days.

#5. Capitouls funfair

It’s the big return of the Captiouls funfair. See you on the Paul-Sabatier aisles until May 26 to enjoy the ridesduck peaches and sweets of all kinds.

Open every day from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. and until 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

#6. Pink funky weekend

The fifth edition of the Pink Funky weekend runs until May 12 in Toulouse. An event that highlights funk culture, through music and dance.

Conferences, courses, dance battles, concerts, DJ sets will punctuate the event.
