To sketch Charlie Croker, this real estate magnate with an inordinate ego, did the journalist, essayist and novelist draw inspiration from reality? No, because the protagonist of the novel and now the series is not an alternate version of a particular businessman. Yes, because this antihero is basically a composite portrait of various businessmen from the capital of the state of Georgia.
