Huawei presented its new mid-range connected watch, the Huawei Watch Fit 3. The watch largely follows the design of the Apple Watch.
Until now, Huawei offered two formats of connected watches: round models for its Huawei Watch, Watch GT and Watch Ultimate ranges, and elongated rectangular models with its Huawei Watch Fit. With its new connected watch, the Chinese manufacturer is now looking to step on Apple’s toes.
The new Huawei Watch Fit 3 thus largely takes up the aesthetics of the Apple Watch. Of course, the watch still benefits from a rectangular screen, but which is now much closer to a square with its dimensions of 43.2 x 36.3 x 9.9 mm. It also has a 1.82 inch diagonal Oled screen with a definition of 408 x 408 pixels for a density of 347 pixels per inch. In terms of panel brightness, the manufacturer indicates a maximum brightness of 1500 cd/m². In addition to its square format, the Huawei Watch Fit 3 also uses the rotating crown of the Apple Watch, positioned on the edge alongside the secondary button. This is the same layout as on Apple watches, but something new for the Huawei Watch Fit range, which has so far been without a crown.
Battery life of up to more than a week
Concerning the functionalities, the Huawei Watch Fit 3 includes, like all Huawei watches, the Harmony OS operating system, here in version 4.0. As a reminder, this is a rather light operating system which allows you to install a few third-party applications, but focuses primarily on activity and health monitoring. The watch is compatible with both Android and iOS smartphones. The lightness of Harmony OS 4.0 also allows it to benefit from up to 10 days of autonomy in typical use and 7 days in intensive use thanks to a 400 mAh battery.

In terms of activity tracking, the Huawei Watch Fit 3 benefits from an optical heart rate sensor, a pulse oximeter and multi-band GPS tracking compatible with Galileo, Glonass, BeiDou and QZSS. The watch will also be able to detect sports training.

Finally, let us point out the possibility of making calls via Bluetooth thanks to the microphone and the integrated speaker, the reception of notifications from the smartphone, the control of music from the watch and the 5 ATM certification which ensures waterproofness of the watch for swimming.
Price and availability of the Huawei Watch Fit 3
The Huawei Watch Fit 3 is available today, available in several colors and with several bracelets. The black, pink, green or white model will be supplied with a silicone strap at a price of 159 euros while the gray version with a nylon strap and the white version with a leather strap will be offered at a price of 179 euros.
