It was a day at work that turned into a tragedy for a fifty-year-old working in the town of Oraison.
Indeed, on Tuesday May 7 in the morning, a 52-year-old pruner was busy working when, for reasons still undetermined, perched on a tree, he fell several meters from a height. The business manager from Le Castellet, in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, fell from a height of 5 to 7 meters exactly between 10:30 a.m. and 10:40 a.m. and hit the ground, head first.
A fatal shock because despite the responsiveness of three firefighters accompanied by a medical team from the emergency medical aid service (Samu 04) who were mobilized to the scene of the accident, the victim was in cardio-respiratory arrest at their arrival, and unfortunately could not be resuscitated by emergency services.
The preferred work accident track
It is therefore, in all likelihood, a tragic work accident. The Oraison company gendarmes naturally went to the site and an investigation is currently open in order to determine more precisely the circumstances of the death of this fifty-year-old. An investigation which was therefore entrusted to the latter who will also work with the labor inspection services.
