A 9-year-old boy gave his only dollar to a man he thought was homeless. The man in question, who turned out to be a millionaire businessman, wanted to thank the child.

On his Instagram account, Matt Busbice doesn’t really look like a homeless person. Photos of a huge ranch, a large pickup truck and sniper rifles paint a portrait of an American who appears to have been quite successful.

But at the beginning of April, the 42-year-old businessman was mistaken for a homeless person by a little nine-year-old boy. Pulled out of bed by his fire alarm, he decides to have a coffee in his neighborhood and stops along the way to say his morning prayer, near a patio. Looking haggard, with bad hair and mismatched outfits, Matt Busbice probably looks more like a homeless person than a businessman.

With a good heart, the child slips a dollar into his hand. This is his entire fortune, received as a reward for getting a good grade in school, and which he has been waiting to use to help someone in need ever since.

“Very touched”

Very touched by this gesture, Matt Busbice, who in fact happens to be a multimillionaire business leader, wanted to thank the little boy by inviting him and his father to pay their bill. He then asked his generous young donor to choose what he saw in the BuckFeather sporting goods store that he owns.

Asked by CBSthe 42-year-old businessman drew a moral from this story: “If you give, you will get more […] I haven’t had this much faith in humanity in a long time.”.
