Cannes International Film Festival

►►► The Cannes Film Festival is, in the world, one of the most important events dedicated to cinema. ► This year, Greta Gerwig is the President of the Jury of the 77th edition of the Cannes Film Festival:

First American filmmaker to take on the role of President of the Jury of the Cannes Film Festival, Greta Gerwig adds new records to her already well-stocked list at 40 years old: she becomes the youngest person to occupy this position after Sofia Loren who was only 31 years old in 1966, the second female director after Jane Campion in 2014 ; the second American after the actress Olivia de Havilandfirst woman President of the Jury in 1965.
