12:30 p.m. The final tribute to Matisse, before his funeral, takes place at the Gaston-Petit stadium. A symbolic place since the teenager was passionate about football, the latter played at Étoile de Châteauroux. A minute of silence was also respected in his honor, Friday May 3, ahead of the Berrichonne match against Villefranche.
“Matou often went there (at the Gaston-Petit stadium) with David, his mother’s companion. He was a football fan! Everything was done very quickly, everyone was very accommodating, and we said to ourselves that in the end, it suited him well”explained his father, Christophe Marchais, in our columns.
