Superman’s new costume has officially been revealed. While the filming of the film by James Gunn (formerly “Superman: Legacy”) continues, the writer-director shared on his Instagram account a first glimpse of star David Corenswet in the Man of Steel costume.
A dirty and worn suit, suggesting that Superman will be involved in many tough fights in the film.
David Corenswet, the new rising star
David Corenswet gets his first major role here. The 30-year-old actor is best known for his roles in two Netflix series created by Ryan Murphy, “The Politician” And “Hollywood“His most notable film before.”Superman“is probably”Pearl“, the horror film directed by Ti West and starring Mia Goth.
The young man has the difficult task of succeeding Henry Cavill.

This new Superman costume agitates fans
The logo was revealed some time ago, indicating a different Superman shield from the previous films. The photo of the costume allows some speculation on the plot of the film.
As Superman sits in a chair putting on his boots, some kind of gigantic ball of death shoots at Metropolis outside.
We can also see the incredible physical transformation of David Corenswet who developed his muscles to fill out the costume.
James Gunn’s “Superman” already appears to be a very different take on the old films.
The release date is scheduled for July 9, 2025. James Gunn is thus launching the first chapter of the DCU (DC Cinematic Universe) called “Gods and Monsters”.
