The Muslim Brotherhood has a religious project, but also a political one. A diplomat and a prefect will have to take stock of the influence of Islam in politics in France. This mission was decided by the defense council and their report is expected by the end of the year. The Muslim Brotherhood is legalistic and on the surface, they intend to comply with the law.
French intelligence has identified a “vast network of lawyers”, all “supported by the cause” of the Muslim Brotherhood, analysts write in a note obtained by Europe 1. They are ready to help the Muslim Brotherhood in their administrative procedures.

Finally, it is also in France that the Egyptian opposition Muslim Brotherhood is initiating proceedings against President Al Sissi, because in their country, members of the brotherhood are considered to belong to a terrorist organization.
