Cécile Pivot, the daughter of the famous writer, announced the disappearance of her father, at the age of 89, in Neuilly-sur-Seine. This eternal lover of the French language and literature has transmitted his passion to the whole of France for decades, by inviting on the show Apostrophes the greatest writers.
In an interview last year with the Journal du Dimanche, he indicated that he was withdrawing from public life due to health problems. “I remained silent because the evil struck me in the head, the seat of the brain and speech.
