The fire broke out this Monday, May 6, around noon, in an agricultural shed with a surface area of approximately 1,200 m2 at a place called Les Perrais, a few kilometers from the town of Maumusson (Vallons-de-l’Erdre) in the Ancenis region. Inside the building intended for raising kids, 200 of them perished and 30 goats were saved from the flames. The intervention of around thirty firefighters from Ancenis and Saint-Mars-la-Jaille made it possible to preserve an adjoining building housing 600 goats.
