Michel Le Maoult, former mayor from Livry-sur-Seine (Seine-et-Marne), died on Thursday May 2, 2024, at the Brie-Comte-Robert hospital. He was 85 years old.

Born in Côtes-d’Armor, this Breton native settled in Livry-sur-Seine in 1969. He who had spent his entire career in Snecma was elected for the first time to the municipal council in 1977: deputy mayor in charge of School suppliesit was he who supervised the construction of the elementary school on rue des Chanois.

Initiator of numerous projects

After 12 years of absence, Michel le Maoult returns to political affairs asfinancial assistant. He will become mayor in 2007, due to the accidental death of his predecessor, Daniel Hénaut. A position he will hold until 2016.

The man also served as vice-president of the Melun Val de Seine urban community: he was in charge of housing.

“Under his mandate, many projects saw the light of day in Livry-sur-Seine,” recalls Philippe Bailly, former municipal councilor. He notably initiated the study for the Pierrottes areaand above all, he launched the development of the Meadow Stronghold to transfer the current town hall there. He was a very calm, level-headed man, never excessive, and always listening to people. »

Funeral

The funeral by Michel Le Maoult will take place at the Saint-Fargeau-Ponthierry crematorium Friday May 10at 3:30 p.m. His ashes will then be transferred to Dordogne, to the region of origin of his wife, Monique.

Michel Le Maoult was the father of two sons and had four granddaughters.
