From May 8 to 12, the 13th edition of theBrisants International Open, a Sand Series, the highest category of tournaments on the international beach tennis calendar. The world No. 1 Nicolas Gianotti is obviously eagerly awaited.

One of the biggest tournaments in the world labeled “ Sand Series » by the ITF and the FFT is being played this week at the Bourbon Brisants Beachtennis club (3B), affiliated with the Réunion Mayotte Tennis League. With its 400 members, the club has been organizing its International Beach Tennis Open for 13 years.

The Open des Brisants is the only Sand Series organized solely with volunteers. It is also the richest with an endowment of $75,000. It offers many matches broadcast live on its YouTube channel.

The International Open aims to be an eco-responsible event, with waste sorting, reduction of plastic bottles (bottles and refrigerated fountains for staff and players), public awareness of the environment with CYCLEA and collection of cigarette butts so that our beach is made as beautiful as before the event.

Participation in the tournament will once again be extremely strong, with the participation of all the best players in the world. Nicolas Gianottithe world No. 1, will be looking for a first success in the event, alongside his Italian partner Mattia Spoto. Matthew Guegano will also be one of the favorites. For the ladies, Mathilde And Marie-Eve Hoarauwho beat the Italian world champions in October 2021, and Maïré Bray currently 27th player in the world and trained on the sand of Les Brisants, will also be there.
