Rain of medals and French podiums in Ostend (Belgium). From Thursday May 2 to Sunday May 5, the French para-cyclists rubbed shoulders with the world’s elite, less than four months before the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games (August 28 – September 8).

The opportunity to gauge the competition and shine, while the French selection for the Games will be announced on July 16. Among the men, several impressed by winning gold, some even twice: Mathieu Bosredon (race and time H3), Alexandre Léauté (race and time C2), Dorian Foulon (time C5), Florian Jouanny (time H2) and Kévin Le Cunff (C4 race).

Among the women, only one managed to get a podium, with Anaïs Vincent taking silver in the H3 time trial. She also finished 2e on the mixed relay, with Joseph Fritsch and Johan Quaile.

In total, the French delegation finished with a nice tally of 15 medals (7 gold, 5 silver, 3 bronze). The next World Cup stage will take place in Maniago (Italy), from May 16 to 19.
