Former NBA player who came to conclude his career at Gravelines-Dunkerque in 2020, Darius Morris passed away this week at the age of 33. His lifeless body was found Thursday, TMZ reports.

Drafted in 41st position in 2011 by the Lakers, the Los Angeles native wore the colors of his hometown during his first two professional seasons, alongside Kobe Bryant. Then passing through the Sixers, the Clippers, the Grizzlies and the Nets, he played 141 NBA games in his career, averaging 3.3 points and 1.4 assists.

After four seasons then spent between the G-League, Russia and China, Darius Morris landed in a BCM team in distress, weighed down by eight consecutive defeats, at the beginning of January 2020. Initially hired as medical freelancer Hamady Ndiaye, he was quickly extended until the end of the season. In 7 Betclic ÉLITE games, before Covid, he posted averages of 10.1 points at 37%, 2.4 rebounds and 3.7 assists for 8.7 rating. Off the court, he left the image of a discreet and polite man to the employees of the maritime club. “He was a great guy, very kind and available, a really good person”indicates one of them.
