A small plane crashed in Trois Lacs near Val-des-Sources late Saturday afternoon. According to the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), the pilot was alone on board the aircraft when the accident occurred.
These are witnesses who saw the plane hit the water around 4:30 p.m. They then contacted the authorities so that they could come and rescue the pilot of the small aircraft.
He was then taken to an area hospital to be treated for minor injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening, according to the police. S.Q..
A false maneuver by the pilot is believed to be the cause of the crash.
